The modernization of the Component Cooling System (TF) is done in order to exclude the consequences of an intersystem leakage.

The purpose of the development is to exclude a dependent failure – a failure of the Component Cooling System Pipeline in the non-hermetic part. A failure can occur as a result of the component cooling circuit overpressure above the design in case of the integrity loss of the MCP autonomous circuit heat exchanger, or the primary circuit blowdown after-cooler.

The scope of the work on this project includes the following:

  •  Delivery of pipeline 325x12 as per the requirements of the Detailed Design elaborated by Atomenergoproject (AEP), Moscow;
  •  Elaboration of a Detailed Design (unit pipelines), supports, hangers and the relevant specifications;
  •  Performance of designer’s supervision during the installation works;
  •  Elaboration of as-built drawings.

As a result of the project implementation, in case of an intersystem leak, the latter is localized within the containment, and there will be no activity release beyond the boundaries of the component cooling circuit.
