Assessment and Management of Risk from operation of complex facilities
Risk Engineering, Ltd plays a leading role in the safety evaluation and management during operation of nuclear power plants in Bulgaria. Risk Engineering successfully applies both deterministic and probabilistic methods for risk and safety assessment. For this purpose we have all the most advanced required tools to carry out deterministic and probabilistic analyses. The risk assessment includes the full scope of internal events (pipelines ruptures, loss of cooling, loss of power, internal floods, etc.) and external events (storms, external floods, earthquakes, etc.).
Risk Engineering, Ltd has performed all the Probabilistic Safety Analyses (PSA) for Kozloduy NPP, which have undergone a number of checks conducted by the missions of international experts in this field.
Projects Management
Risk Engineering, Ltd is constantly involved in the implementation of investment and modernization projects of different kinds, complexity and size. The short terms and the high requirements to the projects implementation require constant improvement of our procedures for projects management. The projects management includes: the contracts management, the tasks planning, monitoring of implementation, budget monitoring, changes control, and completion of the project.
Development of investment projects in the field of power engineering
During the past years Risk Engineering, Ltd plans and develops its own investment projects in the field of power engineering. For this purpose the Company provides activities, such as: carrying out the necessary studies, assessments of the effectiveness and feasibility of the project, development of the appropriate models for financing (own and borrowed funds), elaboration of design documentation, planning and implementation of the project, as well as its future operation.
Rendering consultancy assistance at developing of normative documents in the field of power engineering
Based on the experience in hundreds of projects in the field of nuclear and conventional power engineering, Risk Engineering experts render the necessary consultancy and technical assistance to various state agencies in developing a number of normative documents (regulations, guidelines, methodologies, etc.) regulating the legitimate operation of energy facilities.
